About the Cashier Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cash received from drivers and ensuring that all deposits are accurately counted, recorded, reconciled and prepared for banking.

The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly because large amounts of cash may be processed each day.

Candidates must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly pressurised environment.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience as a cashier
• Ability to reconcile cash
• Willingness to work overtime
• Willingness to work weekend shifts
• A clear credit record, which is essential

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Counting drivers’ deposits and money received
• Completing receipts
• Counting large volumes of cash accurately
• Reconciling cash
• Performing banking-related duties
• Balancing daily banking
• Balancing daily deposits received against the receipt book
• Liaising with Fidelity Guards regarding deposits
• Liaising with Fidelity Guards and Coin Security regarding cash collections
