Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is inviting unemployed youth to apply for the Visual Merchandiser Learnership Programme based in George, Eastern Cape.

This exciting 12-month learnership combines structured learning with practical workplace experience, providing participants with valuable sales, merchandising, and customer service skills within one of South Africa’s leading beverage companies.

Overview

The purpose of the programme is to provide structured workplace learning that equips learners with commercial knowledge and practical merchandising skills.

Successful learners will support customer growth, implement merchandising standards, improve product visibility, assist with promotional activities, and gain valuable experience in sales and marketing operations.

Learners will work closely with Sales Teams and Account Developers while building the skills required for future career opportunities within the FMCG and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Execution & Merchandising

• Execute daily call schedules across assigned outlets

• Implement visual merchandising standards according to company guidelines

• Ensure correct stock rotation practices

• Maintain product visibility and availability in stores

• Implement and maintain in-store displays

• Complete iRED surveys and execution scorecards

• Monitor product quality standards

Customer Support

• Educate customers on using the MyCCBA ordering platform

• Assist customers with order placement processes

• Support customer growth initiatives

• Build positive relationships with customers

• Assist with sales and merchandising activities

---

Promotional Activities

• Support the execution of promotional campaigns

• Enhance brand visibility in stores

• Ensure promotional material is displayed correctly

• Assist with in-store marketing activities

---

General Duties

• Collaborate with Sales Team members

• Follow workplace safety procedures

• Provide relief support when required

• Participate in all learning and development activities

• Complete workplace assignments and assessments

---

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric

• Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (minimum 40%)

• English and a Second Language (minimum 40%)

• South African Citizen

• Between 18 and 35 years old

• Currently unemployed

• Available to work six days per week

• No criminal record

• No adverse credit record

• Must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification

• Must not be enrolled in any current learnership programme

• Must not be studying full-time

• Must not have completed the same qualification or learnership previously

Advantageous Requirements

• Post-Matric qualification in Sales and Marketing

• Valid Driver’s Licence

• Previous exposure to retail, sales or merchandising environments
