Overview
Protea Hotels by Marriott is looking for enthusiastic and service-driven Waiters to join the vibrant team at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Johannesburg Melrose Arch. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and service.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
– Set up, stock, and maintain service areas
– Ensure all cutlery, glassware, and crockery are clean and properly presented
– Maintain cleanliness of workstations throughout shifts
– Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking
– Follow all safety, hygiene, and company procedures
– Handle guest queries and provide excellent customer service
– Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service operations
– Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- No prior experience required (entry-level opportunity)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and customer service orientation
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
