Overview

Fedics is looking for Food Service Assistants to join the team in the Eastern Cape.

This opportunity is ideal for energetic and customer-focused individuals who are passionate about food service, kitchen support, and maintaining high hygiene standards in a professional catering environment.

Successful candidates will assist with food preparation, serving meals and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist with food preparation and meal serving activities.

– Keep service lines stocked, clean, and organised.

– Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, dining spaces, and workstations.

– Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.

– Support daily catering and kitchen operations.

– Follow all company hygiene, food safety, and health and safety procedures.

– Attend required training sessions and follow management instructions.

– Ensure food handling standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements & Skills

-1–2 years’ experience in a similar food service or catering role.

-Culinary qualification will be advantageous.

-Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

-Good communication and teamwork abilities.

-Honest, reliable, and hardworking attitude.

-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

-Good attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.

-Physically fit and able to perform food handling duties.
