Overview:

AR5 (Pty) Ltd is a growing organization engaged in agricultural and construction operations. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of farm and construction equipment, with a focus on tractors and irrigation systems. This role is based in a remote area and requires a highly self-motivated and dependable professional.

Position Purpose:

To ensure the efficient maintenance and repair of farm and construction machinery, contributing to the smooth running of operations in a remote and demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on agricultural and construction equipment.

-Service and troubleshoot tractors, especially John Deere models, lay machines, and irrigation pumps.

-Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks.

-Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.

-Provide technical support and work independently with limited supervision.

-Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

-Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with farm and construction equipment.

-Proven experience working with tractors (preferably John Deere), irrigation pumps, and lay machines.

-Ability to operate in remote and challenging environments.

-Physically fit and willing to work extended hours as required.

-High level of accountability and ability to work independently.
