Overview

A leading cash management environment is offering a YES4Youth opportunity for Cash Processors in Kempton Park. This programme is ideal for unemployed youth who want to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, cash handling, and banking processes.

Participants will be exposed to real-world cash processing systems while developing valuable workplace skills in a structured environment.


Key Responsibilities

– Receive and capture cash deposits on internal systems

– Inspect cash containers for tampering or damage and report issues

– Prepare and sort notes and coins accurately

– Process deposits in line with banking procedures and timelines

– Perform reconciliation of cash, including shortages and surpluses

– Identify counterfeit or damaged notes during processing

– Handle bulk coin processing and teller transactions

– Ensure all deposits are processed and balanced daily

– Assist with payroll and change processing

– Support vault transfers and cash dispatch activities

– Maintain accurate records and follow all operational procedures

– Report equipment faults and ensure proper use of systems


Requirements & Skills

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics Literacy
  • 6 months cashier or teller experience (advantageous)
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of integrity and responsibility
  • Willingness to learn and follow strict procedures
