Overview
The Capital Hotels is looking for a reliable and proactive Gardener to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas, gardens, and general upkeep of the property to ensure a clean, safe, and well-presented environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to a high standard
– Perform general maintenance and basic repair tasks when required
– Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of hotel grounds, including pools and surrounding areas
– Respond to maintenance issues reported during shifts
– Assist with basic decorating and DIY tasks
– Monitor and maintain safety standards across all assigned areas
– Communicate effectively with team members and management
– Handle multiple tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1โ2 years gardening or grounds maintenance experience
- Additional qualifications in gardening or maintenance (advantageous)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
- Attention to detail and proactive approach
- Presentable and professional
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Remuneration
- Salary: R5,240 per month
