Overview
Catalyst Hotel is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join the housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing laundry operations, including washing, sorting, pressing, and issuing linen while maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.
This role also involves supporting housekeeping functions to ensure excellent guest satisfaction across the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
– Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold guest laundry and hotel linen
– Ensure all laundry processes follow company procedures and quality standards
– Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laundry equipment and work areas
– Receive, count, and record linen from rooms and outsourced laundry services
– Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies in linen and supplies
– Issue clean linen and guest supplies to housekeeping staff
– Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and linen management
– Manage staff uniforms, including issuing, cleaning, and returns
– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and chemical handling procedures
– Respond to housekeeping service requests and assist with room inspections when required
– Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
