Overview:
Curro Holdings Ltd is seeking a responsible and energetic Bus Driver to join Creston College. This role is vital for ensuring safe learner transportation and contributing to the general maintenance and upkeep of school facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Learner Transport Duties:
-Safely operate a school bus along prescribed routes and time schedules.
-Pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
-Transport learners and staff for school-related events and trips.
-Maintain order and discipline among student passengers.
-Communicate respectfully with learners, staff, and parents.
General Maintenance Duties:
-Support general facility repairs, plumbing, and upkeep.
-Report and assist with resolving maintenance issues.
-Maintain gardening areas, flower beds, and lawns.
-Maintain tools and equipment used for maintenance and gardening.
-Support school security, traffic control, and access management.
Health & Safety:
-Conduct daily safety and operational checks of the school bus.
-Ensure vehicle cleanliness and good operating condition.
-Perform refueling, oil checks, tire inflation, and battery checks.
-Participate in safety drills and attend training sessions.
-Report mechanical issues and maintain safety records.
Record Keeping:
-Complete and submit mileage logs, fuel usage, and passenger records as required.
Minimum Requirements:
–Grade 12 / Matric certificate
–Valid EC1 or C1 Driverโs Licence with PrDP
-Previous school bus driving experience is an advantage
-Must be fluent in English
-Physically fit, reliable, and punctual
-Able to work as part of a team
-Good communication and customer service skills
-Clear criminal record
-Willingness to work overtime when required
