Overview
Food Lover’s Market is hiring 6 Cashiers to join their store teams across multiple locations. This role is ideal for friendly and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with customers and handling transactions accurately in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately
– Process customer purchases and handle various payment methods (cash, card, etc.)
– Ensure correct pricing, scanning, and issuing of receipts
– Maintain a balanced cash drawer and perform accurate cash-ups
– Provide excellent and friendly customer service at all times
– Keep the checkout area clean, organised, and hygienic
– Stay informed about current promotions and product codes
– Assist customers with queries and resolve issues professionally
– Work efficiently during busy trading periods
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Good numerical and cash handling skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment
- Must reside within 25km of the job location
- Clear criminal record
Preferred:
- Experience using POS systems
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- South African citizen
- Age between 18 โ 65
