Overview

Food Lover’s Market is looking for experienced and reliable Code 14 Drivers to join the logistics and transport team in Centurion.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with long-distance or heavy vehicle driving experience who are committed to safe deliveries, professionalism, and excellent service. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with road safety and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

– Perform daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.
– Transport and deliver goods safely and on time.
– Load, unload, and secure stock for transportation.
– Verify delivery instructions and quantities of goods loaded.
– Obtain signed proof of delivery from customers.
– Report vehicle faults or maintenance concerns to management.
– Maintain records of fuel slips, invoices, and working hours.
– Ensure tyres, vehicle condition, and safety standards are compliant.
– Drive according to traffic laws and company safety procedures.
– Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately.
– Maintain cleanliness and safe handling of company vehicles.

Requirements & Skills

-Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
-Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence.
-Valid PDP / PrDP.
-Previous experience as a Code 14 Driver.
-Experience driving heavy-duty trucks and long-distance routes.
-Good understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
-Ability to use GPS and navigation systems.
-Good communication and teamwork skills.
-Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
-Clear criminal record.
-Must reside within 25km of Centurion.

Preferred Qualities

-Own transport will be advantageous.
-Experience driving different truck brands and gearbox types.
-Good physical health and willingness to undergo medical checks.
-Ability to work independently and under pressure.
