Position Type: Permanent, Part-time & Contract

Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting 10 Cashiers across stores in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Mpumalanga, North West, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, and the Western Cape. These opportunities are ideal for customer-focused individuals with cashier experience who are passionate about delivering outstanding service and ensuring an excellent shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

– Deliver professional and friendly customer service at the point of sale.

– Accurately process cash, card, voucher, and EFT transactions.

– Handle refunds, exchanges, and customer queries according to company procedures.

– Process loyalty cards and promotional offers.

– Balance cash drawers and ensure secure cash handling.

– Maintain accurate transaction records and complete daily cash-up procedures.

– Ensure all merchandise is scanned correctly before payment.

– Promote current in-store specials and promotions.

– Report suspicious activities, discrepancies, and customer feedback to management.

– Maintain a clean, organised, and professional checkout area.

– Comply with company policies, security procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum of 6 months’ cashier or till operation experience.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Good numerical ability.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays.
  • South African citizen.
  • Clear criminal and credit record.
  • Reliable transport or residence close to the store.
