The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety invites suitably qualified young South Africans to apply for 204 Learner Traffic Officer Learnership opportunities. Successful candidates will undergo 12 months of intensive training at the Traffic College to prepare for a career in traffic law enforcement.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
-Possess a Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.
-Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
-Have a valid driver’s licence.
-Have no criminal record.
-Have no visible tattoos.
-Be medically, mentally and physically fit to undergo the training programme.
-Not have been declared unfit to possess a firearm in terms of the Firearms Control Act or any other relevant legislation.
Knowledge and Skills
Successful applicants should have:
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be required to:
- Complete a practical assessment.
- Complete an Integrity (Ethical Conduct) Assessment.
- Undergo security clearance, qualification verification and Personnel Suitability Checks.
- Produce the following on the day of the interview:
- Medical certificate confirming physical and mental fitness.
- Certified copies of qualifications.
- Certified copy of ID.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Successful candidates will undergo strenuous physical training at the Traffic College for the full 12-month programme.
