Overview
Emirates is recruiting candidates from South Africa to join its international Cabin Crew team based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for Emirates Cabin Crew, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have a minimum of Grade 12 / high school education.
- Have at least one year of hospitality or customer service experience.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Be at least 160 cm tall.
- Be able to reach a height of 212 cm.
- Meet the employment visa requirements of the United Arab Emirates.
- Have no visible tattoos while wearing the Emirates Cabin Crew uniform.
Additional language abilities are considered an advantage.

Cabin Crew Training
Successful new Cabin Crew recruits undergo approximately seven and a half weeks of intensive training in Dubai.
The training is designed to prepare new Cabin Crew members to meet Emirates’ required standards of safety and service delivery.
Candidates should therefore be prepared to relocate to Dubai if successfully appointed.
Salary and Flying Pay
For Grade II โ Economy Class Cabin Crew, the advertised remuneration includes several components.
Basic Salary: AED 4,980 per month
Flying Pay: AED 69.60 per hour, based on an average of approximately 80โ100 flight hours per month
Average Monthly Pay: Approximately AED 11,244 per month
Emirates states that this is approximately USD 3,061 per month, although actual earnings may vary.
The remuneration structure consists of:
- Fixed basic salary.
- Hourly flying pay for operated flights.
- Overseas meal allowances.
Meal allowances for overnight stops are credited to the employee’s salary in arrears during the following month.
Accommodation and Transport During Night Stops
For applicable overnight stops, Emirates provides:
- Hotel accommodation.
- Transportation between the airport and hotel.
These arrangements are provided by the company as part of flight duties.
