Overview
VKB Group is recruiting a General Worker to join its Mechanization workshop in Frankfort. This role is ideal for a hardworking individual who enjoys working in a workshop environment and is willing to assist with general labour, stock handling, housekeeping, and supporting mechanics with daily repair and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
– Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the workshop and premises.
– Load and off-load stock, equipment, and materials.
– Assist customers and suppliers with loading and unloading goods.
– Support workshop mechanics and technicians with repair and maintenance tasks.
– Hand tools, spare parts, and materials to mechanics during repairs and servicing.
– Assist with stock control and inventory management.
– Perform manual labour, including moving heavy equipment.
– Deliver excellent customer service to customers and suppliers.
– Carry out ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
– Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy manual labour.
- Previous experience in a tractor or mechanization workshop will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a workshop environment and perform a variety of general duties.
