Overview
Thorburn Security Solutions, a division of Tsebo Solutions Group, is inviting applications for Grade C Security Officers to join its professional security team across various sites in Gauteng. Successful candidates will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment in sectors including corporate, retail, logistics, education, mining, residential estates, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
– Protect employees, visitors, property, vehicles, and company assets.
– Monitor and control access to premises.
– Conduct regular security patrols of buildings and surrounding areas.
– Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
– Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, incidents, and security breaches.
– Prepare accurate incident, occurrence, and observation reports.
– Enforce company security procedures and site regulations.
– Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and fire prevention.
– Inspect security equipment and report faults immediately.
– Provide professional customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors.
– Identify potential security risks and report suspicious activities.
Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration Certificate.
- Previous security experience.
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
- Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage.
- Firearm competency for business purposes will be advantageous depending on site requirements.
