Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting store cleaners across several locations. You’ll keep trading areas, stockrooms, dispensaries, offices and canteens clean and hygienic to Dis-Chem standards, support customers with a professional attitude, and follow Health & Safety procedures during store trading hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver daily, high-standard cleaning across sales floor, stockroom, dispensary, offices, canteen and restrooms before and during trade.
• Replenish restroom/canteen consumables and ensure tidy communal areas.
• Use the correct cleaning products/equipment for each task; display wet-floor signage.
• Stay available during operating hours to clean spills and maintain standards.
• Follow HSE, security and store SOPs; report risks and incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous, basic customer assistance when required.

Requirements & Skills

• Grade 12/Matric.
• Minimum 6 months’ store/industrial cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Able to work retail hours (weekends, public holidays, late trading).
• Good English communication; additional local language advantageous.
• Presentable, trustworthy, attentive to detail; follows instructions and meets deadlines.
• Physically fit for standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling and lifting.
• SA citizen with clear credit and criminal record; reliable transport/proximity to store.
