Overview:
Mukuru is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Branch Teller to join the team in Palapye. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions with precision and promoting Mukuruโ€™s services with professionalism. Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Regional Branches Administrator, the Branch Teller is responsible for delivering efficient, friendly, and secure customer service while ensuring all transactions comply with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Processing

-Conduct thorough KYC (Know Your Customer) checks on every transaction.

-Authenticate foreign currency for outbound remittance.

-Handle, count, and disburse cash with 100% accuracy.

-Cancel non-compliant outbound orders.

-Monitor transactions in accordance with central bank regulations.

Customer Service

  • Assist customers in completing forms and understanding services.
  • Promote Mukuru products and encourage customer retention.

Compliance and Security

  • Report suspicious activity to the AML Reporting Officer.
  • Assist customers with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) forms.
  • Secure all cash, devices, PINs, and passwords.
  • Maintain branch and workstation security daily.
  • Keep visitor logs and verify identification.
  • Complete all required internal compliance training.

Operations and Housekeeping

  • Perform accurate daily cash-ups and float reconciliations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized branch environment.
  • Conduct daily security checks before opening for trade.

Requirements:

  • Education: Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) โ€“ Essential
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the financial services sector โ€“ Essential

  • Knowledge of FICA regulations, foreign currencies, and digital cash systems
