About the Role
As a Shop Assistant/Cashier (P27), you will help create an exceptional shopping experience by assisting customers, processing transactions accurately, replenishing stock and maintaining high merchandising and housekeeping standards.
This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a busy retail environment where excellent customer service is a priority.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
The successful candidate will:
-Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
-Assist customers in finding products.
-Respond professionally to customer queries and complaints.
-Create a friendly and welcoming shopping experience.
Cashier Duties
-Process cash and card payments accurately.
-Process lay-by transactions.
-Handle customer refunds.
-Balance tills at the end of shifts.
-Report any cash discrepancies to management.
Merchandising
-Replenish stock on the sales floor.
-Ensure products are correctly priced and displayed.
-Keep shelves neat, clean and fully stocked.
-Stay informed about current promotions and specials.
-Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Risk and Stock Control
-Ensure merchandise is security tagged according to company policy.
-Participate in stock takes.
-Be alert to shoplifting and fraudulent activities.
-Report suspicious behaviour to management immediately.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous retail experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Good English communication skills (additional languages will be beneficial).
