Overview
Ampath Laboratories is recruiting 7 Couriers and Motorbike Couriers across several locations in South Africa.
Couriers play an important role in Ampath’s laboratory operations by safely and efficiently transporting medical specimens, laboratory reports, parcels and other items between laboratories, healthcare facilities and clients.
These positions are suitable for responsible and experienced drivers who understand the importance of punctuality, road safety, professionalism and careful handling of medical specimens.

Key Responsibilities
– Collect and deliver medical specimens safely and efficiently.
– Transport laboratory reports, parcels and other required items.
– Ensure specimens and documentation reach the correct destinations on time.
– Follow assigned collection and delivery routes.
– Handle medical specimens carefully to protect their integrity during transportation.
– Maintain professional communication with clients, laboratories and colleagues.
– Follow Ampath’s safety, operational and transportation procedures.
– Represent Ampath professionally when interacting with clients.
– Maintain high standards of punctuality, reliability and customer service.
– Work weekends and public holidays when required.
Entry Requirements
Based on the detailed Courier vacancy information supplied, candidates should have:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- A valid South African driver’s licence appropriate for the position.
- Code B driver’s licence for the standard Courier role.
- Approximately 4 years of general driving experience for the standard Courier role.
- Appropriate motorcycle driving credentials for Motorbike Courier positions.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of road safety.
- Ability to work responsibly and independently.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required.
