Overview

The Central Bank of Lesotho invites applications from qualified and competent individuals for the position of Assistant Vault Custodian. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting precise cash verification procedures, maintaining vault order, and ensuring accurate accounting entries in alignment with the Bankโ€™s operational standards.

Position Purpose

To support the accurate and secure handling of cash by performing deposit and withdrawal verifications, maintaining order in the vaults, and recording transactions in the Bank’s systems.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform detailed verification of deposits and withdrawals.

-Maintain order within both automated and manual vaults.

-Capture daily accounting entries in VMS (Vault Management System) and QCBS to record stock movements.

-Package cash according to the Bankโ€™s set standards.

-Carry out daily stock counts and document variances.

-Assist in the repatriation process and resolve discrepancies where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

-Diploma in Business Studies; or

-Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
