Dis-Chem Pharmacies is currently building a talent pool for Casual Cashiers at its Cosmo City store.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with cashier experience who are looking for flexible retail employment within one of South Africa’s leading pharmacy and retail groups.

Overview
The Casual Cashier will support customer service at the point of sale while ensuring a world-class shopping experience. The role involves processing transactions accurately, handling cash responsibly, promoting customer loyalty programmes and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
โข Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
โข Handle cash, card and voucher transactions
โข Promote and process loyalty card memberships
โข Assist customers with product and pricing queries
โข Handle refunds and exchanges according to company procedures
โข Maintain high standards of customer service
โข Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation
โข Report customer compliments and complaints to management
โข Promote current store promotions and specials
โข Adhere to Dis-Chem’s security and fraud prevention procedures
โข Ensure all purchased items are correctly scanned and paid for
โข Maintain a professional relationship with customers and colleagues
โข Follow all company policies and standard operating procedures
Minimum Requirements
โข Grade 12 / Matric
โข Minimum 6 months cashier or till operation experience
โข Computer literacy (MS Office)
โข Good numerical skills
โข Good command of the English language
โข Basic customer service skills
โข Willingness to work retail hours
