Overview
ADvTECH is seeking a dedicated Classroom Assistant to join its Junior Colleges division in Sunninghill. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development and enjoy working closely with young learners in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist with daily classroom activities and support the teacher in delivering lessons.
– Help prepare children for the next academic level through structured and play-based learning.
– Support school readiness and holistic child development.
– Conduct ongoing assessments and assist with reporting to parents.
– Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
– Follow the daily teaching programme and assist with lesson preparation.
– Participate in school events and activities throughout the year.
– Promote interactive and child-centred learning approaches.
Requirements & Skills
-Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
-Previous experience working with young children in a similar environment.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work well within a team.
-Good organisational and time management skills.
-Energetic, patient, and self-motivated.
-Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
