About the Position

The purpose of the Shop Assistant / Cashier role is to provide excellent customer service, efficiently operate the point of sale, assist with merchandising and help create a positive shopping experience for customers.

Successful candidates will serve as Clicks brand ambassadors and help ensure customers receive friendly, accurate and professional service.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric โ€“ Essential

Experience

Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment is desirable.

Because the vacancy lists experience as desirable rather than essential, applicants without previous work experience may apply if they meet the essential Grade 12 requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Successful Shop Assistants / Cashiers will be responsible for:

  • Processing customer purchases at the point of sale
  • Scanning merchandise accurately

  • Handling cash safely and accurately
