Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Die Boord in Stellenbosch is looking for a professional and customer-focused Clinic Receptionist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patients both in person and telephonically, managing appointments, maintaining patient records, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

– Register patients according to clinic procedures and standards.

– Assist patients with completing medical forms, including medical aid documentation.

– Open and maintain patient files accurately.

– Capture and update patient information correctly.

– Manage patient appointments and ensure smooth patient flow.

– Process medical aid payments and assist with medical aid authorisations.

– Obtain medical reports and follow up on patient-related requests when required.

– Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure the reception area remains professional and organised.

– Monitor and maintain clinic equipment, stationery, and required supplies.

– Answer incoming calls professionally and provide accurate information.

– Use proper telephone etiquette when communicating with patients and callers.

– Record and transfer messages accurately to the relevant staff members.

– Assist walk-in patients and visitors with enquiries.

– Provide feedback to patients and customers regarding queries.

– Assist patients during emergencies and respond appropriately.

– Support general administrative duties within the clinic.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • South African citizen.
  • Clear criminal and credit record.
  • Must pass MIE checks.
  • Valid driverโ€™s licence and/or reliable transport will be advantageous.
  • Willingness to work at a dedicated workstation and perform reception duties for most of the day.
