Stratogo is seeking experienced and reliable Code 14 Drivers to join their team in Durban.
This opportunity is ideal for professional drivers with extensive heavy vehicle experience, tanker transportation knowledge, and experience operating hydraulic lifting equipment and skip trucks.
Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods and materials, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations, company procedures, and health and safety standards.
Drivers will be required to complete collections and deliveries efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring vehicles remain in excellent operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Transport Operations
โข Safely operate heavy vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and regulations
โข Transport goods and materials to designated destinations
โข Plan routes efficiently to meet collection and delivery schedules
โข Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and customers
Loading & Offloading
โข Load and offload materials using hydraulic lifting systems
โข Operate skip trucks safely and efficiently
โข Ensure cargo is transported securely
Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
โข Conduct daily vehicle inspections
โข Report defects, breakdowns, and maintenance issues
โข Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance
Documentation & Compliance
โข Complete delivery notes and collection records
โข Maintain accurate transport documentation
โข Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Licences
โข Valid Code 14 Driverโs Licence
โข Valid DGP Licence (minimum 3โ5 years)
Experience
โข Minimum five (5) years’ Code 14 driving experience
โข Experience operating hydraulic lifting equipment
โข Experience operating skip trucks
โข Tanker transportation experience
Advantageous
โข Vacuum truck operations experience
