Komatsu South Africa is seeking a qualified and safety-conscious Driver: Truck Crane Operator to join its operations team in Germiston.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a valid Code 10 driver’s licence, PDP, and Truck Mounted Crane Operator Licence who are looking to build a career with one of the world’s leading mining and construction equipment companies.
Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating truck-mounted cranes, transporting equipment safely, and ensuring compliance with Komatsu’s safety, operational, and quality standards.
The role requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Transport Operations
โข Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road traffic regulations
โข Transport equipment, materials and machinery as required
โข Ensure vehicles are operated responsibly and efficiently
Truck Mounted Crane Operations
โข Operate truck-mounted cranes safely and effectively
โข Load, unload and position equipment according to operational requirements
โข Conduct pre-operation checks on vehicles and crane equipment
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
โข Adhere to Komatsu safety standards and procedures
โข Wear and maintain required PPE at all times
โข Promote a safe working environment
โข Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions
Operational Compliance
โข Comply with Standard Operating Procedures
โข Adhere to Komatsu 5S standards and policies
โข Ensure equipment is used correctly and maintained appropriately
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
โข Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience
โข Minimum six (6) months relevant experience
Language Requirements
โข Ability to read, write and speak English
Licences & Certifications
Mandatory
โข Valid Code C or C1 (Code 10) Driver’s Licence
โข Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) held for at least 12 months
โข Valid Truck Mounted Crane Operator Licence
