Overview
An opportunity is available for a responsible and customer-focused Delivery Driver based in Bloemfontein.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers safely and on time while managing the allocated delivery route, handling money according to company procedures, controlling crates and maintaining accurate driver records.
Applicants must have Matric or NQF Level 3, a valid Code 10 driver’s licence and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver goods to customers accurately and on time.
– Take responsibility for the assigned delivery route.
– Handle and manage money collected during delivery routes according to company procedures.
– Maintain high standards of customer service.
– Balance driver books and assist with basic reconciliation processes.
– Ensure accurate recording of deliveries, collections and payments.
– Minimise driver shortages and discrepancies.
– Maintain effective crate control.
– Liaise with the relevant Sales Representative regarding customers and deliveries.
– Identify potential gaps and business opportunities within the local market.
– Assist with vehicle shunting and related operational duties when required.
– Follow company procedures when handling goods, documentation and money.
– Maintain accountability for all activities associated with the allocated route.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric or NQF Level 3.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
- Ability to perform delivery and route-related duties.
- Ability to handle money responsibly.
- Basic understanding of reconciliation processes.
