Overview

PepsiCo is recruiting Forklift Drivers for three job posts across Ceres and Worcester in the Western Cape.

The successful candidates will support supply chain and production operations by safely operating forklifts to move stock, ingredients, pallets and other materials between designated areas.

Applicants must have Matric or an equivalent qualification, a valid Forklift Licence and at least one year of Forklift Driver experience.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate a forklift safely when moving stock and materials.

– Move stock from inbound areas to designated production allocation areas.

– Inspect the forklift before use according to required safety specifications.

– Identify and report forklift defects or safety concerns.

– Charge or change forklift batteries when required.

– Keep the forklift clean and in good working condition.

– Move non-conforming products from blending areas to the designated quarantine area.

  • Assist supervisors with stock counts.
  • Move pallets between pallet storage, blending and other designated operational areas.
  • Ensure empty, full and partially filled drums are stacked safely and neatly.
  • Ensure pallets are stored and stacked correctly.
  • Move ingredient stock to the ingredients store when required.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards within working areas.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional operational duties when required.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Matric or an equivalent qualification.
  • A valid Forklift Licence.
  • At least 1 year of Forklift Driver experience.
  • Practical experience operating a forklift safely.
  • Ability to perform stock and material movement duties.
  • Ability to follow workplace safety procedures and instructions.
