Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting Merchandisers, Casual Merchandisers and Health Merchandisers for 15 job posts across South Africa.
Successful candidates will help ensure that products are correctly stocked, rotated, priced and displayed while maintaining Dis-Chem’s merchandising standards. Merchandisers will also assist customers, monitor stock levels and support general store operations.

For the Three Rivers Merchandiser vacancy provided, Grade 12/Matric and up to six months of retail experience are required, while one year of retail experience is advantageous. Key Responsibilities
– Replenish merchandise to maintain sufficient stock on shelves.
– Move delivered stock and storeroom stock to the appropriate areas.
– Ensure the full product range is available on shelves where possible.
– Check products for expiry and sell-by dates.
– Rotate stock regularly according to FIFO principles.
– Report low-stock and out-of-stock products.
– Report damaged or expired merchandise to management.
– Assist with stock counts and general stocktaking.
– Follow store layouts, planograms and merchandising standards.
– Ensure shelves are neat, correctly stocked and properly faced.
– Check that products have the correct pricing and labels.
– Report pricing discrepancies to management.
– Build and maintain merchandising displays.
– Keep designated stock areas clean and organised.
– Assist with loading and off-loading stock.
- Flatten and dispose of empty boxes in designated areas.
- Assist with back-shopping where required.
- Help customers locate products.

Minimum Requirements
For the standard Three Rivers Merchandiser vacancy, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Up to 6 months of retail experience.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office.
- Ability and willingness to work retail hours.
- Strong command of English.
- Ability to perform physically demanding merchandising duties.
At least one year of retail experience is advantageous.
