About the Role
As a General Worker โ Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels, merchandising products, assisting customers and ensuring that the sales floor remains clean, organised and well stocked.
You will also provide product guidance to customers and assist them in selecting the correct electrical products for their needs.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management and Merchandising
The successful candidate will:
-Maintain accurate stock levels.
-Replenish shelves when stock is low.
-Ensure products are correctly displayed and labelled.
-Keep electrical products neatly arranged and easily accessible.
-Maintain an attractive and organised sales floor.
Customer Service and Product Support
-Assist customers with product enquiries.
-Recommend suitable electrical and hardware products.
-Offer alternative products where appropriate.
-Deliver excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
Store Maintenance
-Maintain cleanliness within the assigned work area.
-Keep displays neat and well presented.
-Assist with general store duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Knowledge of electrical components and hardware products.
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, sales or general work will be an advantage.
- Experience working with fast-moving electrical products in a retail environment will be beneficial.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
