Overview
The Nurture Health Group is seeking a dependable and service-oriented General Worker to join its rehabilitation hospital team at Nurture Aurora in Gqeberha.
Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the successful candidate will assist with general maintenance, operational duties and other support functions required to maintain a safe, functional and supportive hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Perform general maintenance and support duties in accordance with Nurture Health policies, procedures and systems.
– Help maintain a safe, clean and functional hospital environment.
– Provide operational assistance to support the day-to-day running of the facility.
– Provide driving support when required.
– Report on daily activities, completed tasks and relevant outcomes.
– Represent the hospital professionally when performing duties internally or externally.
– Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders.
– Communicate relevant information to colleagues and supervisors.
– Participate in learning, training and development activities.
– Support the hospital in creating an environment that contributes to effective patient care and rehabilitation.
Requirements and Skills
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment in a role such as General Worker, Porter, Cleaner, Security Guard or a similar position.
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Practical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to plan and complete daily duties independently.
- Strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Professional conduct and a service-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop within a healthcare and rehabilitation environment.
