Overview
Brights Hardware is looking for a Marker & Packer to join its Stock Department at the Brackengate business unit in Brackenfell.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that stock is correctly marked, packed and stored in the appropriate locations. The role also involves assisting with stock picking, merchandising, stock counts and general housekeeping to support efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
– Mark stock with the correct barcode stickers when required.
– Ensure incoming orders are marked within the timeframes provided by the Team Leader.
– Pack stock in the correct departments and designated locations.
– Ensure stock is packed and stacked neatly and safely.
– Assist the Store Person with picking stock.
– Assist Merchandisers with pre-packing stock.
– Ensure merchandising and stock-storage standards are followed.
– Ensure boxes are correctly coded and stored in the appropriate sub-departments.
– Prevent hazardous stacking or storage of merchandise.
– Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with store procedures.
– Inform the relevant supervisor when leaving the department for breaks or other reasons.
– Participate in perpetual stock takes.
– Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness within the work area.
– Perform other work-related duties assigned by a supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12; or
- Three completed Intercept courses equating to a total of 120 credits.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Brights Induction/Service Excellence training.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and holidays according to operational requirements.
