Overview
Curro Hermanus is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hospitality Supporter (Cleaner) to join its team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments while also assisting with hospitality services for staff meetings and school events. The successful candidate will help ensure the school maintains the high standards expected within the Curro group.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
– Clean classrooms, offices, staff rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
– Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors and carpets.
– Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
– Clean and sanitise restrooms according to cleaning schedules.
– Dust, disinfect, and polish furniture and surfaces.
– Clean interior windows, boardrooms, and management offices.
– Replenish restroom supplies as required.
– Report maintenance issues and damaged equipment to management.
– Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and signed where required.
– Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas according to school standards.
Hospitality Duties
- Prepare boardrooms for meetings and events.
- Set up refreshments, including tea, coffee, and catering.
- Restock kitchen and boardroom supplies when necessary.
- Clear and clean meeting areas after use to ensure they are ready for the next event.
General Duties
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Follow school health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Assist in creating a clean, professional, and welcoming environment for learners, staff, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning or hospitality role.
- Experience working in an educational environment will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Good housekeeping and cleaning skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and hygiene practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
