Overview

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a professional and vigilant Hotel Security Officer to join its hospitality security team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, staff, and property while delivering exceptional customer service in a welcoming hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Patrol and monitor hotel premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security incidents.

– Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and security-related situations.

– Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement when required.

– Inspect security systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.

– Enforce hotel security policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

– Assist guests with enquiries while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

– Work closely with hotel management and staff to promote security awareness.

– Record and report incidents, irregularities, and security concerns.

– Assist with investigations into reported incidents.

– Maintain accurate security logs and documentation.

Requirements

• Previous security experience, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
• Valid PSIRA registration certificate.
• Good knowledge of security procedures, surveillance systems, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leader security experience.
• First Aid certification.
• Fire Safety certification.
• Crisis Management training.
• Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments.
