Overview
Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking two Maintenance Assistants to join the Technical team at Dr SK Matseke Memorial Private Hospital. The role focuses on maintaining hospital facilities, ensuring all buildings, equipment, and grounds are in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
– Perform general maintenance and minor repair work across the facility.
– Repair doors, frames, windows, switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures.
– Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and unclogging drains.
– Inspect electrical wiring and control panels to identify and resolve faults.
– Respond quickly to emergency maintenance and repair requests.
– Assist with inspections of mechanical systems and fire safety equipment.
– Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of hospital infrastructure.
– Support audits and compliance checks when required.
– Monitor maintenance costs and promote efficient use of resources.
– Prepare reports and provide updates to the Technical Manager.
Requirements & Skills
-Grade 12 (Matric).
-Engineering N3 qualification.
-Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
-Experience in general maintenance.
-Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Good communication and teamwork abilities.
-Ability to plan, organise, and manage tasks effectively.
