Overview
TotalEnergies is offering a Millwright Apprenticeship opportunity at its Lubricants Manufacturing Plant (LMP) in Durban. This programme provides structured workplace learning combined with theoretical training, giving candidates hands-on experience in an engineering and maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Work alongside the maintenance team to support daily plant operations
– Participate in all required theoretical training and practical learning sessions
– Assist with maintenance and operational tasks to support plant performance
– Follow all health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) standards
– Wear appropriate PPE and comply with all site safety requirements
– Complete logbooks, timesheets, and training documentation accurately
– Follow work instructions, permits, and risk assessments before executing tasks
– Report any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
– Maintain equipment and work areas according to company standards
– Support continuous learning and participate in assessments
– Be available for overtime, standby duties, and weekend work when required
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science
- N3 โ N6 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (advantageous)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong commitment to safety and learning
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures
