Salary: R8,000 per month


Overview

The Capital Hotels is looking for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join its Sandton team.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people, and can provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment. The successful candidate will assist guests throughout their stay while ensuring smooth front desk operations.


Key Responsibilities

– Welcome guests and assist with hotel check-ins and check-outs.

– Maintain guest accounts and process transactions accurately.

– Handle guest requests, queries, and special arrangements professionally.

– Assist with reservations and booking enquiries when required.

– Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times.

– Work closely with team members to ensure smooth hotel operations.

– Handle sensitive guest information confidentially and responsibly.

– Assist in resolving guest concerns and operational incidents effectively.


Requirements & Skills

-Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

-Hospitality qualification or related qualification advantageous.

-1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ experience in a receptionist or hotel front desk role.

-Computer literacy in MS Office and hotel PMS systems such as Protel.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

-Professional appearance and well-spoken personality.

-Ability to work independently and within a team.

-Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.

-Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.

-Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle confidential information professionally.
