Overview
Toys R Us and Babies R Us South Africa is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join their Cavendish store. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about retail, enjoy working with customers, and are driven to deliver excellent shopping experiences while supporting store performance.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
– Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and product information
– Promote and upsell products to maximise sales opportunities
– Ensure merchandise is correctly displayed, priced, and replenished
– Execute store promotions and campaigns effectively
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor
– Participate in stock takes and monitor stock levels
– Report fast- and slow-moving products to management
– Handle customer queries in-store and telephonically
– Support overall store operations and maintain company standards
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 6 months retail experience
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Target-driven with a positive attitude
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and shifts
- Reliable transport
