About the Role

As a General Worker, you will support production and warehouse operations by accurately recording production data, managing stock movements, preparing pallets and ensuring compliance with company food safety and quality standards.

You will also assist with general operational duties to ensure efficient production processes and accurate inventory control.


Key Responsibilities

Production and Stock Control

The successful candidate will:

-Capture and process production and stock movements on the Oracle system.

-Record all stock transactions accurately and on time.

-Balance and reconcile stock at the end of every shift.

-Conduct daily stock counts and reconciliations.

-Investigate and report stock variances and discrepancies.

-Provide accurate stock and production information to supervisors.

Warehouse Operations

-Prepare, label and stretch-wrap pallets.

-Ensure pallets have the required compliance and traceability documentation.

-Assist with receiving, staging, moving and dispatching stock.

-Complete production and stock documentation accurately.

-Support stock audits and inventory investigations.

General Operational Duties

-Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

-Assist production teams where required.

-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

-Perform additional operational duties assigned by management.


Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Ability to work with stock management systems.
  • Ability to perform stock calculations and reconciliations accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and overtime when required.
  • Physical fitness to perform general manual duties.

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.

  • Follow Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and product quality.
  • Report food safety, quality or safety concerns immediately.
  • Participate in mandatory training and compliance programmes.
