Overview

The successful candidate will safely transport construction materials, equipment and personnel while supporting railway maintenance and construction operations.

Responsibilities

-Safely transport materials and equipment.

-Load and offload construction equipment.

-Meet daily production targets.

-Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working condition.

-Complete vehicle inspections and documentation.

-Comply with road traffic regulations and Transnet safety procedures.

-Operate cranes where applicable.

-Maintain Code 29 documentation and production records.

Requirements

-Minimum Grade 10.

-Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s Licence.

-Valid PrDP.

-Crane Operator Certificate (advantage).

-Minimum 2 years’ relevant driving experience.

-Able to read, write and speak English.

-Driver assessment required before appointment.

-Must complete C-Green training and certification.

-Good knowledge of road safety legislation.

-Safety conscious.

-Able to work flexible hours, travel regularly and work away from home when required.

-Able to work independently.

• Proof of residential address (last 3 months) or affidavit.
• Certified copy of ID.
• Certified copy of school qualification.
