Overview

Doppio Zero is looking for friendly, energetic and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses to join its restaurant teams across Tyger Valley, Sandton and Krugersdorp.

These permanent, full-time opportunities are suitable for candidates with previous waiter or waitress experience who enjoy interacting with customers and working in a busy restaurant environment.

Successful candidates will be responsible for welcoming guests, explaining menu options, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving meals, processing payments and helping ensure every customer receives friendly and professional service.

Waiter/Waitress opportunities are currently available at:

  • Tyger Valley
  • Sandton
  • Krugersdorp

Candidates should preferably live within approximately 20 km of the position they are applying for.

Key Responsibilities

As a Waiter/Waitress, your duties may include:

– Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.

– Provide customers with menus and explain available dishes.

– Set up tables with the required tablecloths, cutlery and glassware.

– Inform customers about daily specials and recommend suitable menu items.

– Take food and beverage orders accurately using the appropriate ordering or Point of Sale (POS) system.

– Communicate customer orders clearly to kitchen staff.

– Serve meals and beverages to customers promptly.

– Check dishes, glassware and other service items for cleanliness and presentation.

– Provide customers with their bills and process payments.

– Clear used plates, glasses and cutlery from tables.

– Maintain clean and presentable dining areas.

– Respond professionally to customers’ needs, questions and concerns.

– Follow relevant food safety, hygiene and health regulations.

– Work closely with kitchen and restaurant colleagues to provide efficient service.

Requirements and Skills

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Waiter or Waitress.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take and process orders accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage several tasks during busy service periods.
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts.
  • Preferably reside within 20 km of the relevant workplace.

Experience within casual dining or fine-dining restaurants will be advantageous.

Preferred Candidates

  • Have previous restaurant industry experience.

  • Have strong customer-facing skills.
  • Are available to start as soon as possible.
