Overview
MCE Electric is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Cleaner to join its Warehouse Operations team in Johannesburg South, Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic warehouse environment by cleaning floors, walkways, loading areas, offices, kitchens, bathrooms and other common areas.
Applicants should have a National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification and at least three years of cleaning experience in a warehouse, industrial or commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Clean warehouse floors, walkways and other designated areas daily.
– Sweep, mop and vacuum floors as required.
– Remove dust, dirt, debris and other waste from work areas.
– Clean desks, offices and common areas.
– Clean and maintain restroom facilities.
– Keep kitchen areas clean, neat and hygienic.
– Empty waste bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
– Maintain cleanliness around loading bays, storage areas and entrances.
– Refill soap, toilet paper and other consumables when required.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely.
- Store cleaning equipment correctly after use.
- Check that cleaning equipment is in good working condition.
- Report damaged or broken cleaning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and inform the line manager when stock is running low.
- Immediately report spillages, hazards, damages or unsafe conditions.
- Notify management about building repairs or maintenance requirements.
- Support general warehouse housekeeping activities.
- Follow company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- National Senior Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- At least 3 years of cleaning experience.
- Cleaning experience within a warehouse, industrial or commercial environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual cleaning duties.
- Ability to work independently.
