Overview
Curro is seeking a professional, organised, and customer-focused Admissions Officer to join Grantleigh. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who enjoys working with parents, learners, and staff while managing the school’s admissions process from application through to enrolment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth admissions experience, maintaining accurate learner records, and providing administrative support to the Head of High School.
Key Responsibilities
– Receive and process learner applications submitted through various platforms.
– Verify application documents and submit applications for financial credit checks.
– Contact parents regarding outstanding application requirements.
– Capture learner applications on the school’s administration systems.
– Allocate learners to the appropriate grades, classes, and subjects.
– Liaise with educators regarding learner placements.
– Serve as the primary contact for admissions-related enquiries.
– Advise parents on admission requirements, subject choices, school policies, age requirements, and payment procedures.
– Create and maintain learner records on SA-SAMS and Synergy systems.
– Update learner information and prepare quarterly learner statistics.
– Manage learner transfers, school leavers, and transfer documentation.
– Track learner enrolment numbers and available spaces.
– Provide administrative and personal assistant support to the Head of High School.
– Manage diaries, coordinate meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and assist with health and safety administration.
– Assist with banking and administrative duties where required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- At least one year’s experience in an administrative role.
- Experience within an educational environment will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and educational administration.
- Good understanding of school systems and learner administration.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
