Overview
Spur Corporation is offering a Barista Cadet Learnership designed to equip unemployed youth with practical barista skills, workplace experience, and essential soft skills for the hospitality industry. This programme combines professional training with real-world exposure to prepare candidates for long-term career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
– Participate in structured barista training and development sessions
– Learn and apply coffee preparation and serving techniques
– Assist with basic food preparation and service
– Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace standards
– Deliver excellent customer service during practical training
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas
– Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and time management
Requirements & Skills
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Aged between 18 โ 35 years
- Unemployed and willing to complete the learnership programme
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Previous hospitality or barista exposure is advantageous
