Overview

Brights Hardware is recruiting 5 General Assistants for its Drive Thru Yard Departments across Stonewood, Brackenfell, and Blackheath. The successful candidates will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service, loading customer purchases, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring the yard remains clean, organised, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

– Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer vehicles accurately and efficiently.

– Stack and organise stock safely within the yard.

– Assist with pulling stock for branch transfers.

– Report stock shortages, damaged stock, and breakages to management.

– Bag sand, stone, and other bulk materials.

– Participate in stock counts and inventory control activities.

– Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.

– Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries.

– Follow all company health and safety procedures.

– Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.
• Ability to count stock accurately.
• Physically fit with the stamina to perform manual labour.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a busy outdoor retail environment.
