Overview

BUCO is recruiting 3 Cashiers to join its branches in Simons Town, Montague Gardens, and Cape Town CBD. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service at the point of sale by processing transactions accurately, balancing tills, and ensuring every customer enjoys a professional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

– Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

– Process purchases accurately and efficiently.

– Accept cash, card, and other approved payment methods.

– Issue accurate receipts for all transactions.

– Balance and reconcile the till at the end of each shift.

– Handle customer queries professionally.

– Ensure the security of cash and till contents at all times.

– Maintain a clean and organised checkout area.

– Uphold BUCO’s customer service standards and company values.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Proficient in English.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic computer skills.
• Building materials product knowledge will be an advantage.
• 2–3 years’ cashier experience will be advantageous.
• Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused personality.
