Overview

BUCO is seeking a skilled and responsible Driver (3,501–9,000 kg) to join its Grahamstown branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and on time, maintaining company vehicles, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional customer service while representing the BUCO brand.

Key Responsibilities

– Deliver goods to customers safely, accurately, and on time.

– Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly to prevent damage or breakages.

– Supervise and assist with the loading and off-loading of goods.

– Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.

– Keep the company vehicle clean, roadworthy, and well maintained.

– Verify that the correct quantities of stock are delivered.

– Complete and obtain authorisation for delivery documentation.

– Collect Cash on Delivery (COD) payments where required.

– Provide professional and friendly customer service.

– Promote and uphold BUCO’s values and company culture.

– Assist in reducing vehicle operating costs through responsible driving and vehicle care.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) or Code 8 (Light Vehicle) driver’s licence for vehicles between 3,501 kg and 9,000 kg.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant driving experience.
Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
Ability to handle delivery documentation accurately.
