Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Cleaner to join its Head Office in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment throughout the office and communal areas while ensuring that Dis-Chem’s high housekeeping standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
– Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Head Office.
– Clean offices, meeting rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and restrooms daily.
– Ensure kitchens and bathrooms are fully stocked with the necessary supplies.
– Vacuum carpets and clean office furniture, equipment, and workspaces according to company procedures.
– Remove refuse safely after ensuring no valuable items are discarded.
– Respond promptly to cleaning requests during operational hours.
– Display wet floor warning signs while cleaning.
– Store cleaning equipment safely after use.
– Report faulty equipment or maintenance issues such as damaged doors, lights, taps, locks, or other facilities.
– Assist visitors by providing directions when required.
– Communicate professionally with staff and visitors.
– Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- South African citizen.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
- Clear criminal and credit record (MIE screening required).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Previous cleaning experience will be advantageous.

- Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
