Phakisa Holdings is seeking a professional and experienced Code 14 Driver to join a logistics operation based in Durban-Westville, KwaZulu-Natal.

Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to customers, warehouses, distribution centres, and other destinations while ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies.
The role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate transport documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Transportation
โข Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently
โข Transport goods to customers, warehouses and distribution centres
โข Complete local and long-distance deliveries as required
โข Plan routes and ensure deliveries are completed on schedule
Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance
โข Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
โข Report mechanical defects and maintenance requirements
โข Monitor vehicle condition and roadworthiness
โข Ensure vehicles are maintained according to company standards
Cargo Handling
โข Ensure cargo is loaded, secured and offloaded correctly
โข Verify loads before departure
โข Protect goods from damage during transportation
Documentation & Reporting
โข Maintain delivery notes and trip sheets
โข Complete logbooks accurately
โข Obtain proof of delivery documentation
โข Monitor fuel usage and vehicle mileage
Compliance & Safety
โข Adhere to road traffic regulations
โข Follow company transport policies and procedures
โข Report accidents, incidents and road hazards immediately
โข Maintain safe driving practices at all times
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
โข Grade 12 (Matric)
Licences
โข Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence
โข Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Experience
โข Minimum five (5) years’ experience in driving and deliveries
Additional Requirements
โข Clean criminal record
โข Good communication skills
โข Available immediately
